Pearl drum sets are the
gems of the music industry
Choose Pearl for the best drums, accessories, and parts
Pearl drum sets
are highly praised for quality and perfection. These
unique drum sets are one of the most advanced and best sounding of all
the brands. In 1946, the Pearl Corporation was founded by Katsumi Yanagisawa,
who began manufacturing music stands in Tokyo. In 1950, his vision was to
produce drums under the name Pearl Industry, Ltd. Three years later, the
company had expanded into producing cymbals, timpani, marching drums,
Latin percussion instruments, drumkits, and changing it's name to Pearl
Musical Instrument Company.
In 1957, a division was formed to export products worldwide by Mitsuo,
Katsumi's eldest son. By 1961 in Chiba, Japan, drumsets were manufactured
in a large 15,000 sq ft. factory to meet the increasing worldwide demand. The
President Series, their first professional drumkit, was produced in 1966 to bring
Pearl to the forefront of the drum industry. In 1973, a factory in Taiwan was
established. Today, five factories in Taiwan service the worldwide market for
marching drums, drum kits, timpani, and other drum products.

Choose from a variety of selections from entry level to
high-end custom kits
Pearl's line of drumsets range from beginner to professional level with a
variety of selections. The entry level drum kit, the Forum Series, is an excellent
choice for anyone just starting out. Even though it's not custom, the drumkit
delivers professional qualities at an affordable price. The set features 6 ply poplar shells, chain driven bass drum pedal, and double braced hardware. The
Pearl Master Series and Pearl's Export Series drum sets are a couple of the top
selling drums produced by the company. These drum kits are also affordable
and deliver incredible sounds.
Pearl Masterworks drum sets are where the discriminating drummer takes
charge. These are high-end custom drums that are made to the drummer's
specifications. Three choices of prized woods are available and are handmade
to three choices of drum shell thickness. There are hardware plating options
and full control over drum sizes and an array of finishes. Pearl believes if it's
custom, it was made, not assembled.
Maintaining a reputation of being a top drum manufacturer seems to
come easy for this company. (This site receives compensation when
