Always at the cutting edge of innovation

When it comes to innovation, Drum Workshop is at the cutting edge. In 1980,
the Chain & Sprocket drive system for the bass drum pedal was introduced,
setting it apart from others in the market. A few years later, a double bass
drum pedal was marketed, creating a whole new arena of drumming.

Drummers could now play faster by using both feet and play new drum beats
and patterns. Around that time period, the addition of the rotating two-leg and
the remote cable hi-hat stands were introduced. Other drum concepts that have
come into creation are the variety of Lacquer, Satin Oil, and Finish Ply drum
finishes. Also, there's the constant search for rare woods to create high-end,
custom, drum sets.

In 2000, Pacific Drums by DW were introduced, adding to their line of great
products. They are not high-end but some of the custom features are present.
